PC vs. Clemson Game and a Nephew Visit!

This weekend we had my nephew, Stewart, visit for the weekend. (We swapped kids...Eliza went to Columbia/Swansea while he was here.) We had a ball having him for the weekend!!! Although, I was outnumbered when all three boys decided to pull for Clemson...I was the sole PC fan in the family. I cheered as much as I could for the ole' Blue Hose!!  Even though the score did not reflect a good game, all of us Blue Hose fans just enjoyed being able to wear our colors and absorb the fun football environment!

The boys enjoyed having two whole days of nonstop fun! We took them to Red Robin Friday night to eat for Carter's birthday.  Saturday we went to the football game and that evening we took them to a local Japanese restaurant. (Of course, when we got home they were acting like they were the chefs and cooking us a big meal.) On Sunday, Carter was excited about introducing him to all of his church friends!

A great weekend had by all!!

Kindergarten here we come!!!

Well, this is the week we have all been waiting for....KINDERGARTEN! We have had such a bittersweet week. I have been from tears to cheers! I definitely had my share of crying sessions but also Carter got on all "greens" his first week of school (which means he had a good week!).  Even though, I had a tough time letting him go and realizing he is old enough to begin this new journey, it is so comforting to know he is in a class with his friends: Alex Olmert, Rafe White and Landon Keeley. I am friends with their mommies so we have had a little support group :). It also helps that Carter has TWO awesome teachers...Ms. Bibelnieks and Mrs. Farmer. He has been so excited to go to school each morning. What more could I ask for?!?!  I truly think this is going to be a great year!!!

(We need to get one with Alex in there too to complete the group :)!)

First day with his backpack. We left at 7:40am that morning and he had it on starting at 7:15am!

Love my little ballerina!

Monday (August 16th) was a big day for us! Carter started kindergarten and Eliza started her very first dance class. (Well, I take that back...she took a one week dance camp this past summer but this is now the real deal.)  She LOVES it!!!! She got her tiny little tap and ballet shoes and she is in hog heaven!!

What do I know?!?

They always say payback is "hell"....well, I think I am starting to get paid back from some of my obnoxious fashion statements I have made over the years.

Lately, Carter has been teaching me what is "in" these days...he wanted me to download Justin Bieber, he wants to show me how to do the cha-cha on roller skates, he wants his hair to feather over with a sling-look and his big fashion statement has been his Clemson FLAT bill hat. If you have talked to me over the last few months, you probably have heard me talk about how much I do NOT like the flat bill hats. But, this is one of those battles that I chosing to not pick. Wearing this flatter-than-a-piece-of-paper, wider-than-a-landing-strip hat makes him smile bigger than anything these days. So, you know what?!?!? I will take that smile any day...and just pretend I like it...for now. (Hopefully, the "bent bill" hats will be back "in" sooner than later!)

Eliza is THREE!!!

My baby girl had a birthday this weekend...she is THREE!!! Can you believe it?!?!? It seems like yesterday she was this size...

And now look at her!!! I love every moment with her!!!

One of her celebrations was a party at Gymboree...it was a perfect party for her! She loved dancing, tumbling and playing with her friends and family. (Of course, all of the princess presents she got were a hit as well :)!)
